EXCEL-LENS is and has been “Net Zero”.
Net Zero in both Energy and Carbon emissions.
Our Net Zero action is not just a future commitment – it is one of our core philosophies that we achieved in 2019 and build upon every year as we grow.
Through the deployment of solar arrays generating over 6 megawatts per year of clean electricity, allowing us to achieve Net Zero Energy across our operations.

This majestic grove features over 50 mature coast redwoods, each soaring beyond 250 feet—an enduring symbol of EXCEL-LENS connection to the balance of high-tech products with a beautiful future by working with nature. Furthermore this redwood grove has sequestered over 14,000 tons of carbon dioxide equivalent to over 3000 ICE vehicles.
EXCEL-LENS also pilots other environmental activities to see what is practical including electric vehicles and a wood chip carbon sequestration program. By applying over 4 inch of wood chip mulch over an acre annually, this facilitate the removal over 300 tons of atmospheric carbon and enhance soil carbon capture.
EXCEL-DIAMOND Subscription Service: A forward-thinking alternative to single-use knives in cataract surgery. By providing hospitals with a subscription based model to access ophthalmic diamond knives for cataract surgery, we’re helping hospitals reduce waste while maintaining exacting surgical standards.
Digital Cryosurgical System for Retinal Surgeries: We’re introducing new technology from Metrum Cryoplex (Poland) that replaces Nitrous Oxide—a potent greenhouse gas—with Carbon Dioxide, offering a more climate-conscious choice without sacrificing surgical reliability.
EXCEL-LENS Inc. / CAPSULaser Product Review and Transition Plan: We’re actively evaluating our existing product range to transition from single-use to reusable instruments wherever feasible, aligning with circular economy principles.
